Crosswind 2.0
My own interest and excitement towards my writing is the leading indicator of whether others will also find it enjoyable, and maybe even of value. Being in a position where people willingly listen to what you have to say, is a position of privilege. This position only seems to be obtainable through genuine sincerity and towards one’s work. The productization of anything kills what originally made it captivating, both to the reader, and the writer. I don’t know exactly what I will write about, or how it will transpire, and that makes me feel hopeful about the prospects of putting some words down.
In order to keep writing here, I am going to be expanding the scope of this publication. If I find something that excites me in the world of investing and markets, I will write about it. If not, I will pounce on another topic. I have said in the past I believe everything is applicable to markets and business, so in a sense, the focus of my writing will not change. On the other hand, many social and societal topics relate back to the fabric of the economy, business, and the currency in which it is counted. I will be doing my best to blur those lines, ask questions, and discard those notions here, for us to chew on. Crosswind will serve as my opinionated and inquiring digital dumping ground, an attempt at contextualizing some of my more serious observations about our world. Obviously, this puts more of the focus on me personally, and I hope your (our) attention spans don’t mind the company. This, to me, is much more exciting and valuable than commentary on a narrow field in a world with an endless horizon.
I hope you feel the same, and thanks for reading.
